Duke
of Edinburgh's Award Activity
Archery is one of the many activities available
to participants in the Award and West Essex Bowmen work
with the DEA organisation in Havering to ensure that
interested young people do not miss an opportunity to
give archery a try. West Essex Bowmen cater for one
intake per year of up to 10 and beginning at the end
of September, when the Summer League season has finished.
This Beginner's Course has been tailored for DEA use,
lasts six weeks and costs £10 per person.
Under
the G.N.A.S. agreement DEA beginners must then join
the club in order to complete their award. This involves
the payment of club fees, £30.00 per annum for juniors,
payable in two bi-annual instalments of £15 and a G.N.A.S.
affiliation fee (insurance) of £18.50 per annum for
juniors.
Please
note that juniors (under 18's) must have a parent or
guardian with them for the whole time that they are
shooting.
